The best time to visit Bandipur Tiger Reserve is from October to March. During this period, the weather is pleasant and conducive for wildlife viewing. Here’s a detailed breakdown of the seasons:

Winter (October to February): This is the most favorable time to visit Bandipur. The temperatures are cool, ranging from 10°C to 25°C (50°F to 77°F), making it comfortable for safaris. The dry weather also makes it easier to spot animals, as they gather around water sources.

Summer (March to June): Although the temperatures can rise up to 35°C (95°F), summer is also a good time for wildlife sightings. The dry conditions force animals to frequent water holes, increasing the chances of spotting tigers, elephants, and other wildlife.

Monsoon (July to September): Bandipur receives moderate to heavy rainfall during the monsoon season. While the forest becomes lush and green, the rains can make safaris challenging, and some areas may be less accessible. However, this season is ideal for those who enjoy the vibrant greenery and are less focused on wildlife sightings.

For the best experience, plan your visit to Bandipur Tiger Reserve between October and March, when the weather is at its best and wildlife sightings are more likely.
